Life had taken a different turn that night. The whole time, I kept wondering if this was the right decision by me. In wake of unlocking possibilities, had I changed my priorities itself? What lay ahead of me in this journey at HelL? And how would I do justice to the post and the responsibilities that came along with it? So many questions kept coming amidst all the best wishes and compliments.

Just a few months back, I was dwindling in the uncertainties of this place. From tackling academics to securing an off-campus summers, I had walked a considerable way with my own ups and downs. From getting mails from the Senate on flouting of rules to leading that body itself, things had changed for me at HelL. This place not only tested my survival stints but also opened new avenues to venture upon.

Meanwhile, the momentum of the senior batch was on its peak for the final placements. With barely a week left to start, there was the familiar chaos of pre-placement talks, application deadlines, mock GDs and interviews. We could sense the high stake associated with the final placements by just looking at any senior’s eyes. Quantum of hope and clouts of depression – they had it all. The entire focus of our batch was centered upon the big companies visiting the campus and compensation details. The fact that we would undergo similar traumatic days of placements in a year’s time, used to shiver us from within.
